I wanted to work as a Child Psychotherapist after reading a book called 'Dibs - In Search of Self' by Virginia Axline when I was 15, which completely inspired me.
Alongside this I have always enjoyed spending time with children and had a huge curiosity about how people's personalities, including mine, have developed.
Part of my training involved working with parents as well and on doing that, I realised I would also thoroughly enjoy working with adults, which I have done since I qualified.
I grew up in Somerset, near Shepton Mallet and left in 1989 for a Gap Year in the USA and Mexico.
I spent from 1990 to 1994 in Brighton studying Psychology at the University of Sussex, then moved to London until 2012, where I gained my further qualifications and work experience.
Since 2012, when I returned to Somerset, I've been running a private practice in Kilver Court, Shepton Mallet, and have worked in a school in Taunton.
